Xenon Raisebore Roller Cutters

Silex DTS utilizes the latest manufacturing processes and design technologies for the roller cutters; widely used in raise boring, shaft boring and reverse circulating drilling. Hole diameters may vary in sizes: from 1 to 8 meters diameters. In addition we provide roller chtters that are compatible with many other heads and saddles currently in use.

MAXIMU BEARING

Increased bearing life and bearing capacity using premium ball and roller bearings. Proprietary lubricants are used to provide extended bearing life.

MECHANICAL SEALS

Metal face seals with special material oring. Seals have proven to increase bearing life versus competitors under harsh environments and tough drilling conditions.

LOW PROFILE RETAINER PLUG

Engineered retaining pins for easy access and rebuild features of roller cutters.

PREMIUM TUNGSTEN CARBIDE INSERT(TCI)

Newly developed carbide grade and shaped Tungsten Carbide Inserts with enhanced cutting structure profile for smooth drilling.

Main Cutting Structure

5 rows cutters:

When the double gage row cutters (“G”) and double nose row cutters (“N”) are used in combination, the drilling profile results with 25mm insert spacing from row to row. The G & N combination delivers enhanced protection in hard and abrasive drilling conditions. The Xe6Y model is designed for medium to hard formations, whereas the Xe6Z variant is optimized for drilling through hard to extremely hard formations.

6 rows cutters:

The profile offers a secondary option for cutter placements. The narrow rows of insert spacing, from row to row, delivers a more balanced cutting structure and requires one type of cutter. More rows and quantities of inserts create even tougher cutting structures.

7 rows cutters:

The very hard cutting structure is designed with both the double gage rows and double nose row inserts. The pact cutting structure delivers enhanced protection especially in very hard and abrasive drilling conditions.
