While our engineers make effort to reduce the cost and risk of the pilot drilling, Silex DTS offers different cutting structures for different rock formations. The series 70 type bits with double conical shape inserts are designed for drilling medium to hard formation, with rock compressive strengths less than 50,000 psi. The series 80 type bits with round shape inserts are designed for drilling hard to very hard formation, with rock compressive strengths greater than 45,000 psi.
